When the hi hat is fully open it will be 0 and fully closed 127. The "x" axis represents what the module outputs from 0-127. There is a curve on the hats ctrl that you can set how the opening/closing will behave. "Hats ctrl" controls the opening and closing of the hi hat. The only thing the e drum setting won't do is mess with the hats ctrl.
SUPERIOR DRUMMER 3 HUMANIZE HOW TO
Not sure how to get around this.I don't know if the TD30 is outputting the same notes as the TD20 but have you tried the e drum setting? It will map everything correctly. However, the tip open is also the tip closed sound. I then assign the closed tip to the hats while they are closed. I assign the open 5 setting to the edge while the hats are open. It works perfectly when you play it using the Roland module but has a hard time translating to SD. There is a workaround that kind of works. They put the rim shots on the hardest velocities on the head sound and they put shallow rim shots on the rim. Setting up the snare in superior is tricky because toontrack are a bunch of idiots. Use the "e drum" MIDI preset and make sure the velocity curve for the "hi hat ctrl" is set to the same value the module is outputting. Please and Thank you in advance! What is the problem? The hi hat is easy. I would love to use the samples off SD but have grown frustrated. I know it takes a lot of tweeking and ive seen many youtube videos of people playing their ekits and it looks and sounds great, I just cant make it happen on my setup. Ive used SD many times by making my own grooves through the midi library only because I cant get the Hi-hat and snare to function like the roland module.

Ive had my TD-30KV for awhile now and love the sounds of the module except for the toms as most people do. Can someone point me in the right direction.
